"NGC 6326 - It's an irregular planetary nebula created by the ejection of a central binary star (two stars of similar size orbiting one another). It does not create symmetrical nebulae, which is an unusual characteristic of one that is made up of a binary star.

Several themes contained within this piece are created with a "ping pong" type of delay between the left and right ear in mind. Sometimes they line up, and sometimes they have some lack of symmetry. The level of delay between the dual themes varies, as well.

Nebulae are the creators of stars and eventually, planets. It may take forever, but they generate a tremendous number of varied creations. The multitude of interacting themes included within the piece reflect the generative nature of nebulae in general.

While being the birthing scene of new celestial bodies, nebulae are also funerals for the star(s) that are must die in order to create them. The piece intends to demonstrate this by developing a motif within a section representing the stars' demise, followed by a rapid-fire finale showcasing many ideas representing the bodies created by the nebula. One such idea is a recapitulation of a theme expressed by the dying stars, which is intended to be a musing that what is birthed from a nebula may contain some characteristics from its "parent" star, much like the characteristics we pass down through our children."
